Directions to St. Mary's Parish

Public Transportation

Located in the Central Square area of Cambridge at 8 Inman Street, the parish is adjacent to Cambridge City Hall and is easily accessible by the Red Line or MBTA #1 bus. Take the Red Line to Central Square (Inman Street is a 2-3 block walk north-west on Mass. Ave.). Check out http://www.mbta.com/ for more information.

Parking Information

Ample Parking is available in the municipal public lot on Prospect Street/Bishop Allen Drive. Limited Parking is available in the parish parking lot, and there are metered street spots. On Sundays, both the municipal lot and the metered parking spots are free. This lot is not available during weekday business hours (it is reserved for employees of several neighborhood businesses. Additional meterd parking is available behind the Post office on the corner of Pleasant and Green Streets (behind Mass. Ave on the south side)

Directions From Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90)

** Take the Brighton/Cambridge Exit 18. Bear right off the exit following the signs to Cambridge/Somerville. At the Double Tree Guest suites, merge onto River Street. Cross over Storrow Drive, Charles River, and Memorial Drive and stay straight for 1.3 miles. When you enter Central Square, River Street will merge and become Prospect Street. Cross over Mass. Avenue and take your first left onto Bishop Allen Drive.

* The entrance to the municipal lot is on the right on Bishop Allen Drive. For St. Mary's, continue down Bishop Allen Drive. At Inman Street, turn left (Inman Street is one way toward Mass. Ave.).

From I-93 Southbound (from Points North):

Take the Mystic Ave. Exit (exit number 30) and at the end of the ramp bear leftward (south); stay on Mystic Ave. for about a half-mile until you come to the intersection with Msgr. McGrath Hwy. (Foss Park will be on your right); turn right onto McGrath Hwy. After 1 mile, take a right onto Washington Street. After 0.2 miles, take a left onto Prospect Street. Follow the signs to Central Square; once you cross Broadway begin to watch for Bishop Allen Drive, it will be the third street after Broadway. Then follow the directions above (*).

From I-93 Northbound (from Points South):

Take the Exit marked "to Storrow Drive/Cambridge" (exit number 26); follow the signs onto Storrow Drive; Once you are on Storrow, continue for about 2.5 miles until you come to River Street (a landmark is the Double Tree Guest Suites); turn right onto River Street and cross the Charles River; follow the directions above for those coming from the Mass. Turnpike (**).
