Ordination at St. George Church Lawrence, MA

All are invited to join His Grace Bishop JOHN and the Diocese clergy at Divine Liturgy for the Ecclesiastical New Year Wednesday, August 31 at 6:00 pm at St. George Church (8 Lowell St, Lawrence, MA). At the Divine Liturgy, His Grace will ordain Deacon Ephraim Hastings to the Holy Priesthood and install him as the new pastor at St. George in Lawrence. Fr. Ephraim & Kh. Rheanna will succeed the V. Rev. Fr. Edward and Matushka Anna Hughes who retired this month after 40+ years of service in the Archdiocese. Read more »

The Pappas Patristic Institute at HCHC invites you to a public lecture to inaugurate the 2022 Colloquium on the Mystagogy of St Maximos the Confessor. In this lecture, Fr Maximos Constas will explore St Maximos’s commentary on the Divine Liturgy known as the Mystagogy, with special attention to the way in which the liturgical space of the church is mapped onto the interior space of the soul in a reciprocal exchange of sacred architecture and the body. Demetrios is the Director of Giving and College Initiatives at Northeastern University, and he received his Ph.D. in religion from the Catholic University of America.
