June 2015

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

The 52nd Archdiocese Convention is drawing near (July 20-26). His Beatitude JOHN X, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East will be presiding. This will also be Metropolitan JOSEPH'S first Archdiocese Convention as our Primate and the 100th Anniversary of the Falling Asleep of our Father among Saints, Raphael of Brooklyn. So many reasons to celebrate! So many reasons to volunteer!

Needless to say, we will need your help. From the registration desk to the set up and break down of the chapel in the Hynes Convention Center where the daily services will be held, we are in need of your help to make this convention run smoothly and efficiently. Please do not hesitate. Call the Church office and let us know that you will volunteer. Speak with Mary Winstanley O'Connor or Raymond Sayeg, our esteemed co-chairs, and ask what you can do to help. Let Fr. Antony know and he will make sure you are connected with the appropriate committee chairs.

Please do so as soon as you can. The time is drawing near and there is much to be done. If our predictions are correct, this may well be the largest and best attended Archdiocese Convention in the history of our church. At this writing the Sheraton is nearly full and people are scrambling to find available rooms. So, please volunteer as much time as you can. Thank you for everything you do.

With love,

+Fr. Antony
