Diocese Parish Life Celebration - June 4-5, 2021

Diocese PLC 2021

His Grace Bishop JOHN invites you to our annual Diocese PLC gathering June 4-5, 2021 at St. George Cathedral in Worcester. Attendees will be able to attend in person or virtually. In-person capacity limit will be dependent on local COVID Guidelines. On Friday evening, we will hear a welcome message from His Eminence Metropolitan JOSEPH, followed by the Oratorical Festival, and scholarship presentations. Saturday morning will begin with Divine Liturgy followed by presentations by His Grace Bishop Anthony, followed by organization meetings and concluding with Great Vespers.

Thanks to the generosity of the Diocese Council, the PLC will be free this year for all to attend, but we do ask that everyone register in advance online at http://worcesterplc.eventbrite.com/ so that we can plan accordingly.

2021 Oratorical FestivalDiocese Oratorical Festival - June 4, 2021 @ 7pm

The annual Oratorical Festival is open to all teens ages 13-19. This year's theme is from John 3:17 "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved" and also the audio clip of Fr. Diocese Council Meeting - Tuesday, May 18, 2021 @ 6:30 pm

The Diocese Council is made up of lay leaders from throughout the Diocese who assist His Grace Bishop John with programming and administration of the Diocese. The Council meets every other month, and will meet next on Tuesday, April 20 via Zoom. All clergy and laity are invited to attend. Diocese Ordinations

Dn. David GalambosOn Palm Sunday, Rev. Deacon David Galambos was ordained to the Holy Diaconate by His Grace Bishop JOHN at his home parish, St. George Church in West Roxbury where he is assigned. Deacon David is following in the footsteps of his grandfather Deacon Eli Hamaty of blessed memory who served as the deacon at St. George for many years. AXIOS! to Deacon David, his wife Lydia, and their 2 daughters.

The Niqula FamilyOn Monday, May 17, Rev. Deacon Anthony Niqula will be ordained to the Holy Priesthood at his home parish of St. Mary Church in Palos Heights, IL, by His Grace Bishop ANTHONY. The ordination will be livestreamed on St. Mary's Facebook pagebeginning at 10:00 am EDT. Fr. Anthony continues to serve as the Pastoral Assistant at St. George Church in West Roxbury with his wife Kh. Evangelia, their daughter Rafaela and baby #2 expected to arrive in June. AXIOS!
