COVID Update - May 19, 2022
COVID COMMITTEE UPDATE – Change to mask policy effective immediately!
After careful and extensive discussion, the Covid Committee has decided to reinstate the mask mandate for everyone over the age of 5 while inside the church.
This difficult decision was taken after considering the recent uptick in the number of Covid cases among parishioners since the beginning of May.
The committee recognizes that though the instances of infection among parishioners cannot definitively be traced to attendance at liturgy, the increase in numbers is alarming. When the committee also took under consideration the reports of an increase in the presence of virus in wastewater the decision was to be proactive and require masks be worn indoors.
The Covid committee believes this decision is best for the health of our whole worshiping community.
